AmyEdit is a lightweight gtkmm LaTeX Editor
AmyEdit is an easy to use LaTeX editor. Its design focuses on remaining lightweight and as easy to use as possible. It is written in c++ using gtkmm and features tabbed editing, word count, syntax highlighting, undo-redo, spell check, integration with the LaTeX compiler/viewer of your choice (defaults to pdflatex and xpdf) a Paned View for command output and the creation of templates.
Requirements
This application requires GTK+ version 2.6.x.

This is the first in the AmyEdit-1.0 series, it has the beginnings of the Plugin system, the configuration now follows the freedesktop.org specs using a KeyFile instead of amyconf. It has lots more error handling code, much better command/preview handling, is much prettier and more HIG compliant as well as lots more features. Try it and see. :)
