A Tool for adjusting hidden Gnome Options
GnomePrefs has been part of *NixStyle-NG and is now splitt off for easier maintainance.
You can find hidden Options for:
- gnome-session
- gnome-panel
- gksu
- file-roller
- gnome-terminal
- metacity
- nautilus
- bug-buddy
- nautilus-cd-burner
- sound-juicer
- evince
How to Install:
Simply run ./configure to check the
dependancies, and (sudo/su) make install
to install gnomeprefs.
then run gnomeprefs or go to Menu -> Accesoires -> GnomePrefs
Requirements
This application requires GTK+ version 2.10.x.
Other dependencies include:
python 2.4+, python-gtk 2.4+, python-glade 2.4+, gconf, python-gconf, Optional: psyco

Extended Emergency
GNOME-SESSION:
- added options for allowing/disallowing tcp connections
- added option for changing default session-dialog-action
GNOME-PANEL:
- when cleaning the history, don't unset the keys, set them to " "
- added option for en/disabling launcher's hover effect
- added option for en/disabling animations
- added option for switching between GnomePanel's and GnomeSession's Session-Dialog
- (Requires a patched Gnome-Panel || Ubuntu Users already have that
